چکیده

Background CE-MRA following the injection of a gadolinium-based contrast agent (GBCA) bolus is widely used in clinical assessment of vascular dynamics and tissue perfusion (1,2). Although keyhole techniques with an increased number of central k-space updates further improved contrast kinetics information, spatial resolution remains limited. Alternatively applied view sharing approaches also result in prolonged temporal footprints with possible temporal blurring or reconstruction artifacts. Sparse, incoherent sampling approaches and iterative reconstruction techniques have proven successful particularly in dynamic MR imaging (3). We sought to evaluate the impact of iterative reconstruction techniques on dynamic contrast enhanced MRA of the thoracic aorta.

High-resolution dynamic CE-MRA of the thorax enabled by iterative TWIST reconstruction.

PURPOSE To evaluate the clinical benefit of using a new iterative reconstruction technique fully integrated on a standard clinical scanner and reconstruction system using a TWIST acquisition for high-resolution dynamic three-dimensional contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA). METHODS Low-dose, high-resolution TWIST datasets of 11 patients were reconstructed using both standard GRAPPA-based...

Modeling Based Image Reconstruction in Time-Resolved Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography (CE-MRA)

We have worked on the measurement protocol and related image reconstruction of 4D data sets in the field of time-resolved Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography (CE-MRA). The method aims at improving the interpolation of sparsely sampled -space data. It is based on exploiting prior knowledge on the time courses (TCs) of the image pixels, when monitoring the uptake of contrast agents i...

High spatial and temporal resolution dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA) using compressed sensing with magnitude image subtraction

PURPOSE We propose a compressed-sensing (CS) technique based on magnitude image subtraction for high spatial and temporal resolution dynamic contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA). METHODS Our technique integrates the magnitude difference image into the CS reconstruction to promote subtraction sparsity. Fully sampled Cartesian 3D CE-MRA datasets from 6 volunteers were retrospectively under...

Reducing View-sharing artifacts in dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography using Compressed Sensing

Target Audience: Clinicians and researchers working with dynamic Contrast Enhanced MRA (CE-MRA). Purpose: Dynamic Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) has become a widely accepted tool for clinical evaluation of complex vascular hemodynamics. To allow for high spatial and temporal resolution, view-sharing techniques 1,2 are commonly used whereby the k-space center is updated more frequently tha...

Accelerated free breathing ECG triggered contrast enhanced pulmonary vein magnetic resonance angiography using compressed sensing

BACKGROUND To investigate the feasibility of accelerated electrocardiogram (ECG)-triggered contrast enhanced pulmonary vein magnetic resonance angiography (CE-PV MRA) with isotropic spatial resolution using compressed sensing (CS). METHODS Nineteen patients (59±13 y, 11 M) referred for MR were scanned using the proposed accelerated free breathing ECG-triggered 3D CE-PV MRA sequence (FOV=340×3...
